Help!! I need A DIVE BAR in San Francisco!

I need a local dive bar for a location for the no-budget noir flick I'm making. The film is set in 1947, so while I'm not being a nazi for historical accuracy, I can't use uber-modern places. The mood I'm going for is sleazy run down dive -- a local watering hole, not a high class place. The action follows someone as they come in through the front door, walk directly to the bar, take a stool and order a drink, and have a conversation with the bartender and another patron.

Features of the ideal place:
*Small, dark place
*Interesting bar and back bar
*Interesting entryway, both interior and exterior
*Pool table a big plus

Deal breakers:
*Too many TVs/ TVs in prominent areas that can not be shot around.
*Modern bar fixtures like video games/microwave ovens
*CD jukebox in a prominent area that can not be shot around
*Neon signs or other promotional materials that are clearly modern and can not be temporarily covered or removed
*Distinctly Modern decor that can not be covered, removed or shot around.

I'm hoping to find a place in San Francisco, but for the *perfect* place I would be willing to go father afield.

If you know of such a place, please, please, please drop me a line here or email me at noir@strafe.com

anyone need a film score for their low budge flick?

I play guitar and keyboards, I have a modest music studio and looking to make sound scores for small films. I have been an animator and filmmaker myself since my early twenties (mostly student productions), so I'm not a novice, but not an "experienced professional" either.

I'd like to help out on low budget productions by creating the sound score. I can compose comfortably in the styles of: classical, electronica, alternative rock, jazz, bossa nova, flamenco, mexican "oom pa", spy thriller, tv themes (IE. Green Acres specialist), german nihilism, Amazon fire dance, Leprechaun break dance .. I guess I better quit while I'm ahead.

I'm just looking for vicarious thrills, so renumeration not necessary. I also have a small network of competent musical friends who can help out if necessary.

Welcome Newbies!!!!

Yay fresh meat!!! Ok introduce yourselves here I will start.

I am from NY and Im training to be a wrestler. I act, have done improv, some stage and would love to be in horror or sci fi movies... or anything a bit twisted for that matter. I write a little but nothing good lately, I read a lot, almost anything...
I have done set design, costume design, stage makeup, and a little (very little) sound. I like to understand every aspect to the art of acting, its great to understand how the behind the scenes stuff makes the magic happen. So now I am looking for anything interesting that would expand my resume.

Currently I am a cook, model, and W.I.T. (just guess) and have a bit of free time I tend to spend on the internet promoting stuff and talking to people. Nothing to interesting besides wrestling school which Im only beginning, but look foreward to pursuing. When I am trained I am going to have the chance to work for one of the top notheast promotions, which is nmore than I even hoped for.

So.... Lets hear about you guys!
